About Us
|
Nestled in the Mount William ranges and state forests, we are situated 40 minutes North of Melbourne airport. We moved to Lancefield in January 1999, at that time the property consisted of a house, a shed and four rusty barbed wire boundary fences. Frank and I arrived with the knowledge, that ahead of us lay lots of hard work, sweat and tears.
Slowly but surely we now have, 4 x horse paddocks for breeders and horses in work, 5 x pig sty's & pig paddock, water to all paddocks, 2x stables, a machinery shed, training area and day yards.
We have miles of forest and peaceful roads to take our horses on trails and give our youngsters the best start before taking up any serious discipline. We are great believers of giving our starters adventures and situations to get them thinking. Please excuse our drought conition photo's. |

Along with our horses, we have a small herd of cattle, pigs, one goat and what is a farm without cats and dogs. Each and every one have their own stories as to how they came to us and stayed. They all serve a purpose and earn their dinner. |

A Little Bit of History
|
Sambucca.
Sam was bred by Louise prior to owning our stud, Cargil Valley. Sired by ASB stallion, Gold Era and dam, Bluegrass Inspiration, he was my reward for breeding.
Sam was broken in and received the basics of his training by Louise and the most delightful horse to work. He enjoyed everything he did from riding lessons, shows, hacks up the bush to rounding up cattle. Always putting in 120% all the time. Reluctantly he went up for sale, but fortunately was swooped up by Sue Robbins. Sue, cut and polished this gem, training him to medium dressage. Watching Sam and Sue work together in harmony is what any breeder aims for, Great horse, Great team and potential coming into fruition
